Due to the uncertainties surrounding the current global COVID 19 pandemic, GEMN will be doing things a little different this year.
Our Summer camps are a little different to others. We cater for ages 7 through to adults, with content that is constantly changing to reflect accepted global best practices.
The driving force behind GEMN is to provide tools for ecosystem monitoring and our summer camps reflect that goal.
Due to COVID 19 we will be offering a 100% refund if our camps cant go ahead due to government requirements.
All camps are delivered by qualified staff who have gone through COVID 19 awareness training.
Age Brackets:
7-11yo*
12-15yo
16-17yo
18+
*Will be further broken down depending on numbers

The focus of this camp is to introduce and extend the knowledge and experience of its participants in techniques for monitoring ecosystems.
Included in these camps are both indoor and outdoor activities (weather dependent) which are designed specifically for each age bracket with rotating content,
meaning that if you come one year and are still in the same age bracket the following year, the content will be different.
Participants will be encouraged to explore and learn about the different ecosystems they are shown and will learn about how and why monitoring programs happen around the world.
The order that the ecosystems are visited by each age group will be weather and numbers dependent.
Content is specifically designed to be age specific and will be tailored to the knowledge level of the group
The focus of this camp is to introduce the technology that is used for ecosystem monitoring and guide the participant through the experience of discovering how it works and how the development of new technologies happens.
This week long program will guide the participants through age specific content that looks at the different levels of technology that are used, from mobile tablet devices through to satellite GPS tags, real time tracking and remote sensing technologies and UAVs (Drones).
Participants will learn how to utilise existing technologies as well as extending their learning to developing new innovative technologies.
